Beyond Morsels. . .

Beyond Morsels. . . .

When one needs a fire to rest by, one often  has to build it first.  But no fire made by other hands warms as compared with effort gone into the building and fanning of one’s own flame.

You cannot list the world’s disorders without revealing yours in duplicate.  You identify them because you relate to them by knowledge of experience.  You cannot blame others for what they are unable to relate to,  seeing nothing of themselves in the ills surrounding.  And not being able to identify them,  they cannot do something about what they cannot see.   How to open eyes and by what process?

The right to truth is mine to uncover.  The right to conceal belongs to the Other.

When illusion hides the reality, the bears become frightened.  And they stand and attack what could be their greatest gift.

Sometimes it seems that nowhere is the rational voice or the clean motive.  And there are none. There are only people who justify themselves and give forth with their justifications.  And the justifications are needed.  They could not continue otherwise.  Are we not one of them?

To think is to act.  To the Others it appears as doing nothing.  But it is a supreme undertaking one approaches.

Conscience is installed to monitor one’s life for one’s survival.  Conscience is memory of acts done to one with a memory of pain.

You cannot fool the nature of souls and souls have a way of propounding the innocent and the complex.  In the midst of all that is done,  the soul will fathom the doer and know beyond doubt what the motive and process has been.

Thought in Flight. . .

Think It Through. . . .

Think It Through. . .

All thought which holds the life’s crucible for an Other’s well being is prayer.  Any conversation which holds the good of Others in its heart is prayer.

What seems like a tragedy in the absurd and obscure is indeed a well thought out and prescribed drama. . . oftentimes.

Bless the good day and blow the winds of fear as far from as to the ends of the Earth.  The alternative is more of the same in a place where progress is not as swift.

Tears aside,  there is eternal life within each and for each to discover.  One cannot hand it to them already chewed.  It is theirs to do.

Wait not for death.  Be vigilant only of life in all its forms, in its entirety.  One cannot break a will which heralds its own functioning to its own existence.

It is enough that the articles of faith be hidden for as long as they have behind the façade of the mind grown into habitual lack.

It is time for even the skeptical mind to be convinced that what is seen is not necessarily all there is to be seen and what is heard is all that is being said.

Practicing Proverbs. . . a worn path

The justification is there for everyone’s life.  We are redeemed.  And the eulogies certainly point this out, don’t they?

People do not listen to what they say.  If they did, they would not speak.  Those who speak, don’t know.  And those who know, don’t speak.

To give Grace before a meal is a generous gesture.  But if the truth be known, it is for public consumption.  It adds humbleness to the reputation voicing elegant beatitudes.  When the one whose back is tired from preparing for the multitudes speaks their thanks to the larger Spirit,  it is true Grace.  For then the meaning of stewardship is known.

Sometimes information is beyond what the individual can possibly assimilate.  It is there for the taking but not for the assimilating.  It somehow has to fit before it can be worn.

After The Storm. . .

photo (5)

To those who have inquired and wondered how we have weathered Hurricane Matthew,  we did well.  The Refuge behind us soaked up water as it was designed to do and our home withstood the elements handily.  Thank you for your concern and this hurricane will do nicely for the rest of my days.  Uneventful is what I anticipate and appreciate in my mid eighties.  Thank you very much.  The following are some of the sparklers in my thinking.

Take a Few Moments. . . .

image1-2

**We are the cabbage and the rose at once.  Earthy  and ethereal, at once.

**Memories are the bridge to the future.

**It takes time to pick up the threads of life upon return from being away, to make room for yourself again in lives that have already taken your absence into consideration.

**Old friends like old books demand that we return to them.

**To go over the same road again and again until the pain as well as joy no longer overwhelms
requires tough love.

**Life was not meant to be a vehicle of convenience.  Breathing itself is an imposition of sorts at
times.

**Education is a thing of the heart and spirit and no learned institution can impart what is
necessary to complete a life.

**Inflated ego:   over estimation for public consumption

**To be human is an art to be learned and perfected; part of the soil, organic in compound and
with divine nature imbued.  It appears we do not think highly of the earth and its components.
Our behavior implies we must think being human is a debasement of sorts.

Think It Through. . . .

Men may live lives of quiet desperation but is it not better to punch out the heavens and settle the fight?

The rock of Gibraltar does withstand the chipping away at it but only to a point.

                                                                            *****

There is an art to waiting.  It is an art form and once learned, a great privacy maker and comfort.

                                                                            *****

Moments of waiting allow one to disconnect from a cacophonous world and center in on the inner voice intent on self preservation.  Guilt arises when something as prosaic as waiting in line can be so delicious as to be judged sinful.

                                                                            *****

To have a sense of the past, a hold on the future and an immersion in the present should be a prerequisite for life.

                                                                            *****

As we stretch to pour the milk out of the pitcher we are blind to the fact that it is only out of abundance that we continue to pour.

We are laughed out of the curriculum when our search involves basic origins and we find some answers.

Pause To Consider. . . .

20150814_074546

Engineering may code and modify DNA but individual evolution can be enhanced by emulating the behavior of one whose actions are above reproach.  It behooves everyone to action that does not send crossed signals.  We are not paranoid to think we are being watched.  As children we all had our role models whom we watched and were disappointed too many times.   We may have to pretend behavior we don’t normally wear,  but soon it will become who we are.  We can make a difference for the common good.  Or common ill.

                                                   *****

Whatever is not made peace with will piece the person.  It will break them into a million parts and they will never know that it can be peace-d nor seeing how they contribute to it all and will leave the adult body when they transit with behavior befitting the child in them.

 ******

We were told that what is done for one is done for all.  The lesson is profound when taken seriously and applied to everything.  Not just to the case in hand but to all cases and all hands.  Keep it always forefront.  The individual effort is noted and the heavens are not deaf nor are they blind.  The simplest and most menial task is only so when glimpsed within the structures of the day.  When taken to completion it becomes a sacred work of art.  Know it.
